Dani B is a Cape Town-born singer, songwriter, DJ and producer whose Afro house runs on Middle Eastern soul, Latin heat, and a voice that changes what a room feels like. Rooted in Moroccan and Spanish heritage, she brings electronic music something the genre rarely gets: a vocalist with two decades of international stage experience, genuine emotional range, and the discipline that only comes from a lifetime of performance. She fronted 10-piece salsa and jazz bands at 16. She performed across continents — from The Plaza, Lincoln Center and the Waldorf Astoria in New York to two international tours across Asia as Evita — and reached the finals of The X Factor Israel. In 2020, during chemotherapy in lockdown, she stepped onto her Sea Point balcony every evening and sang. Neighbours stopped. Videos spread. When two complaints threatened to end the concerts, 8,000 people signed a petition to keep them going. News24 featured her in its Faces of Lockdown series, and the city gave her a name: The Sea Point Balcony Singer. It was not a career moment.
